1.    Tintin/Do you think comics are a children’s or adult genre/media?

Introduction

In the turn of the twentieth century ‘comics’ has remained the primary art of work the context and images are developed and produced from famous authors writers, and journalist. Technology is prescribing the most technical work in modern society. The materials used for art images and in relation to the real world, contains its literacy texts creating a science fiction of mythology, politics, culture, and many more. Although some literacy texts seem enlightening, complaints have described cultural literacy of misinterpretation. Whereas, I do not see any reason that children would be more influence on the effects of the images, than adults reading the text from comics. This essay will explain about, do you think comics are a children’s or adult genre/media?

Herge (2005) states that the future of “Tintin”, by creating a character who would appeal to children as much as adults, he said that ‘Tintin’ was aimed at “all young people between seven and seventy-seven”, my theory, images can show a unique and imaginative understanding of how a child would relate to it significance rather than reading the literacy. Although children of broader age seem more convinced in the appearance of the image, than reading the text, the remarkable phase, and ‘do children actually read the texts?’ Shepherd (2011), According to studies 16 year old children and over are unlikely to read at all where children between 11-16 year olds are less likely than seven year olds that reading never occurs but the images itself appeals more convincing to understand. She also stated that more children today read websites and emails than books and comics. The national literacy trust said fresh methods were urgently required to inspire young adults to read more.

Even though Herge created the future of comics “Tintin”; the blue lotus” that is best suited for adults than for children because of its literacy and background in relation to the real world. Where adults seem to understand the full knowledge of its literacy than children would between the ages of 11 years and adult age. Adults find it more easily to read short stories of romance and leisure than comics. (NZ Herald, 2007), stated that bookstores in New Zealand have removed the comics of “Tintin” in the Congo and ‘Tintin in the land of soviets.  It has been suggested that the terms of racist comments of culture. The comics state extreme textual contexts and should be removed from the children section and put onto the adults level, whereas in terms of media this does not show any effects of racists terms than reading the comic of “the blue lotus’. In conclusion children should agree to their own terms of what they wish to read, but in terms of adult amendments, parents should make their own decisions of what age group a child should choose to read or watch media, for myself it’s what you read and how you see the image that makes a difference.

  1. Thanks Areta. There are some problems with your language here. The cut-and-pastes from other sources need to be clearly cited. I also want to see evidence that you engaged with at least one of the secondary texts that were provided. These things make some of your post hard to follow. However, you have developed an opinion and tried to answer the question directly. Thanks.
